SEND

(Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

Every child is unique and develops individually. Children learn in different ways. At Christ Church, we assess all our children regularly and aim to meet their needs as individuals. We recognise that some children will need extra support to settle into school, or to enable them to learn. When necessary we use the Education Support Services to advise and support us in adjusting the curriculum and our teaching.

If you have any concerns about your child, please feel welcome to come and talk to your Class Teacher in the first instance.

Please also feel welcome to ask for our SENDCo to contact you to discuss your concerns or offer advice about your child’s needs.

If a parent or carer has any concerns or complaints regarding the care or welfare of their child, an appointment can be made by them to speak to the SENDco or Head Teacher who will be able to advise on formal procedures for complaint. For more detailed information please refer to the complaints policy on the school website.
