Welcome to CHRIST CHURCH C of E PRIMARY SCHOOL, Newark
Mrs Alison Richardson, Headteacher
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Christ Church, a small and caring school community with BIG aspirations!
As a school family, we are hugely proud of our school and hope that our website gives you a ‘flavour’ of our journey as we seek to continually improve and provide the very best educational provision for our children.
We are a small, family school in the heart of Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire. For many years, we have been an infant and nursery school, and we are currently still located in a beautiful Victorian school building near the town centre.
In September 2020, we became a Primary School and now teach children from nursery to Year 3. Over the next few years we will continue to grow as we gradually increase our capacity to welcome children up to Year 6.
In September 2021, we will be moving to a brand new, purpose-built school building in the heart of Middlebeck, a new development being built on the edge of Newark, a couple of miles from our current location.
Christ Church is a Voluntary Aided Church of England school which is extremely proud of its Christian foundations. Our school motto is “Learning & Growing together in FAITH, HOPE & LOVE”, and are proud to be an inclusive school where families of all faiths and backgrounds are welcomed.
Christ Church is a special and caring school family where everyone is valued. Our positive, dedicated staff and governors work with our parents, the local church and wider community to dream BIG dreams for our children!
This is an extremely exciting time for everyone involved with the school as we look towards an amazing future at Middlebeck, built on our Christian roots and rich history in Newark.
These are some comments from our parents & families:
” A small school environment where my child feels safe and secure. I feel my child gets plenty of nurture as well as academic support”
” The teachers are so incredibly positive and supportive and it feels like they’ll always give you time if you need it. It’s a wonderful, warm environment”
“My daughter has never felt uncared for, unsupported or alone while being a pupil at this school. Would highly recommend this school to everyone”
“10/10 in all areas. Looking forward to my daughter being part of this school in future years”
